This paper analyzes the interpersonal meaning of London's speeches bidding for 2012 Olympic Games from the perspectives of mood,modality,tense,person,lexicon at micro level.The results reveal how speakers apply suitable language devices to realize the effective communication with the audience.This analysis can help us to appreciate and compose public speeches on social life better.
