The Woman Warrior,written by the Chinese American writer Maxine Hong Kingston,is an autobiographical fiction.This paper attempts to explore the inhibition of both traditional Chinese culture and American culture in the growth of Chinese Americans,to reveal the confusion and hardships they suffer and to show their cost and gains in the course of national integration,thus reflects women's perplexed search for self-identity in the world of both Chinese and American culture.
