This paper investigates the present situation of the socialist outlook on honor and shame among college students,based on East China Jiaotong University.The result of the investigation indicates that on one hand,the majority of the college students hold a positive attitude towards socialist value,that is,most of them understand the socialist outlook on honor and shame in its right perspective and they understand the significance and necessities of such moral education;on the other hand,there arise some pressing issues to be addressed.Thus the final part of this paper puts forwards some strategies to conduct proper education on the socialist outlook on honor and shame in higher educational institutes.
