2025年4月23日，国际著名人工智能领域学者，加拿大阿尔伯塔大学 Witold Pedrycz 教授受邀在北区图书馆圆形报告厅做了题为 “Academic Writing：Standards and Innovative Approaches” 的科技论文写作报告。《华东交通大学学报》主编余鹰教授主持报告会。

Pedrycz教授从科技论文的选题准备到伦理规范出版进行了全过程讲解，指导我校师生如何高效完成论文并提高发表成功率。

具体内容包括：Writing a quality manuscript（Preparation，Constructing the paper，Language，Technical details）；Revisions and response to reviewers；Ethical issues；Conclusion: getting accepted。Pedrycz教授特别提供了一份简洁的 “DO” 和 “DON’T” 清单，为科技论文写作投稿提供了非常实用的建议。

Pedrycz 教授还讨论了论文出版中的伦理问题,包括 Multiple submissions，Redundant publications，Plagiarism，Data fabrication and falsification，Improper use of human subjects and animals in research， Improper author contribution，并呼吁停止学术不端行为。

本次学术报告吸引了300余名师生踊跃参与。Pedrycz 教授讲解生动，所提出的实用性建议具有较强的可操作性，赢得了我校师生的一致好评。部分听众表示，在此次报告中不仅获得了提升学术写作能力的实用工具，也加深了对出版伦理的认识与理解。

主讲人简介

Witold Pedrycz(IEEE Life Fellow) is Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. He is also with the Systems Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Warsaw, Poland. Dr. Pedrycz is a foreign member of the Polish Academy of Sciences and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. He is a recipient of several awards including Norbert Wiener award from the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society, IEEE Canada Computer Engineering Medal, a Cajastur Prize for Soft Computing from the European Centre for Soft Computing, a Killam Prize, a Fuzzy Pioneer Award from the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, and 2019 Meritorious Service Awardfrom the IEEE Systems Man and Cybernetics Society.

His mainresearch directions involve Computational Intelligence, Granular Computing, and Machine Learning, among others.

Prof. Pedrycz has served as Editor-in-Chief or Associate Editor of several journals, such as Information Science, IEEE Trans. SMC. He is also the founding editor-in-chief of WIREs Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery (Wiley), and Co-editor-in-Chief of J. of Data Information and Management (Springer).

Witold Pedrycz 教授（IEEE终身会士），现为加拿大阿尔伯塔大学电气与计算机工程系教授，同时担任波兰华沙科学院系统研究所首席科学家。作为国际知名学者，Pedrycz 教授拥有波兰科学院外籍院士、加拿大皇家学会会士等顶尖学术身份，并荣膺多项国际权威奖项：包括IEEE系统、人与控制论学会诺伯特·维纳奖（Norbert Wiener Award）、IEEE加拿大计算机工程奖章、欧洲软计算中心Cajastur软计算奖、基拉姆奖（Killam Prize）、IEEE计算智能学会模糊系统先驱奖，以及2019年IEEE系统、人与控制论学会杰出服务奖。

其研究体系聚焦智能科学前沿领域，主要研究方向涵盖计算智能、粒计算及机器学习等交叉学科。Pedrycz 教授长期担任《Information Sciences》《IEEE Trans. SMC》等国际权威期刊主编/副主编，创办并领衔《WIREs Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery》（Wiley出版）学术期刊，同时担任《J. of Data Information and Management》（Springer出版）联合主编，持续引领学科发展范式创新。）
