On the basis of clarifying the relationship and commonness between characteristic database and Institutional Repository, drawing on the successful experience of building Institutional Repository based on Characteristic Database in the industry, combining with the achievements of characteristic database in Universities of Jiangxi Province, taking Jinggangshan University as an example, this paper investigates the feasibility scheme of building Institutional Repository in Universities of Jiangxi Province from characteristic database, In order to achieve a breakthrough in the Institutional Repository of higher learning in Jiangxi.
