Effective digital image security is an increasing important issue in a networked environment.An overall analysis of the requirement of image security,which is met by security mechanisms and measures,is made.We especially review the digital image encryption techniques and the digital image watermarking techniques,and point out the remaining problems of the image security measures and propose some research directions and key issues in the field in future.
