Journal of East China Jiaotong University is a comprehensive academic journal in the field of rail transit, approved by the National Press and Publication Administration and sponsored by East China Jiaotong University. Founded in 1984, the journal is published bimonthly and distributed both domestically and internationally. It is indexed in several well-known and authoritative databases, including the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) Database, EuroPub (UK), China Academic Journals (CD-ROM Edition), CNKI, China Core Journals (Selection) Database, China Digital Journal Group, as well as Wanfang Data, Weipu, and China Science Paper Online. The journal is recognized as a Tier T2 high-quality journal in the railway transportation field, a Core Journal of China Science and Technology, and an RCCSE China Core Academic Journal.
The journal consists of the following four columns:
1. Transportation Infrastructure: Focuses on research articles related to the design and construction of transportation infrastructure, innovations in transportation technology, traffic environment, and safety.
2. Traffic Management and Control: Publishes papers on transportation systems engineering, traffic information management and control, transportation planning and management, and intelligent transportation systems.
3. Operation and Maintenance of Transportation Equipment: Covers topics including vehicle design, equipment manufacturing, transportation materials, and intelligent manufacturing technologies.
4. Frontiers of Interdisciplinary Research: Publishes original work in basic research, emerging interdisciplinary topics, and comprehensive studies at the frontiers of science and technology.
Intended Authors
The journal welcomes submissions from teachers and researchers in domestic and international universities, research institutes, and enterprises, as well as from graduate and doctoral students. Research outcomes funded by provincial- and ministerial-level (or above) scientific foundations are especially encouraged.
Instructions
1. Originality and Formatting: Submissions must be innovative, academic, scientific, standardized, and readable. Manuscripts should typically be around 8,000 characters. Please format your paper according to recently published articles in this journal.
2. Content Structure: Each paper should include the title, author(s), affiliation(s), abstract (including objective, method, main results, and conclusion), keywords, Chinese Library Classification Number (CLC), document code, main text, and references. Please refer to the official manuscript template for details.
3. Author Information: A brief biography of the first author and the corresponding author should be provided, including name, year of birth, gender, title, academic degree, research achievements, academic honors, research direction, and email address, along with a bareheaded photo. The corresponding author should typically hold a PhD and a senior professional title.
4. Heading Format: Use Arabic numerals for section headings. Primary headings: 1, 2, 3, …; Secondary headings: 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, …; Tertiary headings: 1.1.1, 1.1.2, 1.1.3, …; Lists: 1), 2), 3), …
5. Figures and Tables: Should be self-explanatory and concise, and embedded within the text. Figures must be produced with professional software and inserted into the Word file with the original data. Also, upload the source image files separately. All texts, symbols, and axes must be clear and accurate. Tables should follow the three-line format.
6. Numbering: Figures, tables, and equations should be separately and consecutively numbered. Figure number and caption (in both Chinese and English) should be centered below the figure; Table number and title (in both Chinese and English) should be centered above the table. Equation numbers should be placed flush right in parentheses.
7. Notation: Use italic font for variables, general function symbols, parameters, and variable-derived subscripts. Use roman (upright) font for constants, descriptive subscripts, units, standard function names, operators, and commonly accepted abbreviations. Use bold italics for matrix, vector, and tensor notations.
8. References:
References should be cited in order of appearance. A minimum of 20 references is recommended. Chinese references should be presented in both Chinese and English. Please prioritize citations from the past five years. The formatting of references must comply with national bibliographic standards.
